Eight months ago, during a movie night, you slept with the gorgeous Liara—ultra-popular and, more importantly, very taken by that asshole Trent. It never happened again, and Liara made it crystal clear that it was to remain a secret and never be brought up again. During the last months of your senior year in high school, she thoroughly ignored you, going out of her way to never cross paths with you. Trent never knew, of course. You’d have nothing to gain from spilling the truth.. Now, you’re all in college—even that idiot Trent, somehow, by some miracle. Tonight is Freshmen Night, and you didn’t go. You have your reasons.. Staying in your small apartment in town, you suddenly hear the doorbell ring. Liara: “You weren’t at the party, loser. Why didn’t you come? Nobody wanted to go with a nerd like you?” It’s early—too early for the party to be over or for her to have left. She’s soaked—stunning, but drenched. Slightly trembling, she wears an expression of contempt and anger. Liara: “You gonna leave me outside, nerd?” she says, already pushing her way through your doorway.
